Connecting the Dots - The Night Jesus was Born

I just love it when science confirms prophecy! Over the past few years, this has been a topic that I love to write about (see links below). As it is the Christmas season, I wanted to share some of my favorite videos & posts about science & history testifying of our Savior and His birth. I absolutely love the connection Johnathan Cahn makes about the birth of the lambs in the springtime, and the birth of "The Lamb". I would love to hear your thoughts!

Temple Dedication with a Deeper Meaning?

A friend of mine, wrote this blog post and shared it yesterday.

I found it very interesting, and observed that if the third period of 7 years ends around 2021 (half hour ends) that lines up with what Sadhu Sundar Selvaraj said in the summer of 2017. He said America had four good years left by the grace of God. He was referring to Pres. Trump’s term. When the grace period ends it will be 2021 - so, I marked that on my calendar. He said to use that short grace period to get your “house in order”. I thought of personal household as well as the household of God - the church. He also said to pray for the president because if his term were to abruptly end before the four year time, the grace period would also abruptly end. So interesting!

Jesus' DNA Proven to Be Half Human

Ron Wyatt
A few weeks ago, a friend of mine texted me a link to a video and asked me to watch it - I absolutely loved it! I wanted to share the video here, but unfortunately it has since been taken down from YouTube. The video was a documentary about Ron Wyatt's discovery of the Ark of the Covenant and Jesus's DNA.

I have heard of Ron's work before, but because he passed away in 1999 his name doesn't circulate much these days. After watching that documentary, I was surprised that I have not heard about some of his greatest discoveries. I remember first learning about him when I heard about the discovery of Noah's Ark. It perplexes me that so many wonderful discoveries over the past half-century, go unrecognized and are often dismissed by scientists, historians, biblical scholars. Unfortunately, this was the case for Ron.

Plug Stone for Cross Hole
Many witnesses who were apart of his archeology team, gave their testimonials in the documentary and they were powerful. The discovery that stood out the most to me was Jesus' blood. In 1982, Ron and his team, discovered the cross hole that held Jesus' cross into the ground. In the cross hole was a square stone that plugged the hole. In verse 51 of Matthew 27 we read of the earth quaking and the rocks splitting after Jesus gave up the ghost. Interestingly enough, next to the cross hole was a deep split in the ground/rock. As they removed the stone and continued digging in an underground grotto,  they soon noticed something quite incredible - a pool of dried blood that had been undisturbed for almost 2,000 years. The blood had made it's way down through the crack next to the cross hole and onto what they soon would discover to be the mercy seat of the Ark of the Covenant. In the New Testament we read that Christ’s side was pierced and blood and water flew from it, thus getting into the crack, running through it and getting through the cracked stone lid of the box which housed the Ark of the Covenant, and thus anointing the Mercy Seat. The dots began to connect it was clear that Jesus truly was the sacrificial lamb. Just as it was in the days of Moses, the blood of the sacrificial lamb was sprinkled onto the mercy seat!
Depiction of Blood Falling on Mercy Seat

Now, the Mercy Seat did not derive its worth from the purity of its gold but from the fact that it was the place where the blood of sacrifice was sprinkled in the presence of Yahweh. The word for "mercy seat" is the same root for the word "atonement". It means to cover, cancel, appease, or cleanse. The details about the full discovery of the Ark of the Covenant can be read here, in which it is mentioned that Ron soon learned that the Ark must remain in it's place as a proof that the blood upon it is indeed Yeshua’s, and this site will be supernaturally protected until the time when the Ark and the tablets of stone (ten commandments) must be shown to the public.

Ron and his team took samples of the dried pool of blood to an Israeli geneticist, in which it was discovered that this blood contained only 23 of the 46 chromosomes found in human DNA - making it half human. Human blood generally contains 23 chromosomes from each parent. This blood showed the impossible - one set of chromosomes coming from only one parent. Video of blood analysis.  The geneticists asked him, "Who's blood is this?", to which Ron replied in tears, "This is the blood of your Messiah." Those geneticists lives forever changed that day.

In the documentary, it showed the original raw footage of Ron making these discoveries, including the pool of dried blood as it was being discovered. It was very incredible to witness. I couldn't believe I was actually looking at Christ's blood and my heart almost burst.  I felt there was great truth to Ron's testimony and I believe that the world was not ready to hear or receive it. At the FIRM expo I attended in April, I have shared in a video that Shawn Littlebear said that location of the Ark of the Covenant was known and he had been invited by Jewish leaders to assist in moving the Ark into the newly built temple, when the time was right. He said that the temple site had already been dedicated and he believed the site would be ready in the very near future, and was already assembling a team to assist him.

By the time of his death in 1999, Ron Wyatt claimed to have discovered several sites and artifacts related to the Bible and Biblical archaeology. Many of these artifacts can be seen today in a museum located near Nashville Tennessee. Ron's discoveries include:
  • Noah's Ark
  • Anchor stones (or drogue stones) used by Noah on the Ark
  • The post-flood house, grave markers and tombs of Noah and his wife
  • The location of Sodom and Gomorrah and the other Cities of the Plain: Zoar, Zeboim and Admah
  • Bones of giants
  • Sulfur/brimstone balls from the ashen remains of Sodom and Gomorrah
  • The area of Djoser's pyramid complex believed to be the remains of Joseph's grain distribution bins used during the seven-year famine
  • The Tower of Babel site (in southern Turkey)
  • How the Egyptians may have built the pyramids
  • The site of the Israelites' crossing of the Red Sea (located in the Gulf of Aqaba)
  • Chariot wheels and other relics of the army of Pharaoh at the bottom of the Red Sea
  • The site of the biblical Mount Sinai (in Saudi Arabia at Jabal al-Lawz)
  • A chamber at the end of a maze of tunnels under Jerusalem containing artifacts from Solomon's Temple, including the Ark of the Covenant
  • The site of the Crucifixion of Jesus
  • Christ's blood in an "earthquake crack" beneath the crucifixion site, the DNA of which, according to Wyatt, contained 24 chromosomes, rather than 46
  • Burial pots off the coast of Ashkelon
These videos below are worth watching! I highly recommend the last two videos, you must watch them until the very end.

A Lost Gospel Still Lost?

In my last video message, I shared my belief that our Savior Jesus Christ had a family (a belief I've had for many years). I love it when you begin on a topic and the Spirit puts bread crumbs on your path. I happened to stumble across this video last Monday and couldn't believe that there was a possible lost gospel I have never heard about. Yes, I have read the gospel of Mary, the Gospel of Thomas and the many other gospels that are listed here:   https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Gospels . Gospels that were not selected to make it into the Bible cannon that we have today, and gospels that have been unearthed in the last century by archeologists. So, when I learned that there was another possible gospel, 1,450  years old, that was housed in the Brittish Library (where it still exists) in 1847, and re-discovered and decoded (yes, decoded) by Simcha Jacobovici an investigative archeologist who happens to be a devout Jew, let's just say I was very intrigued.

In 1847 the Brittish Library bought the ancient animal skin manuscript from an Egyptian Monastery. The Syriac text was later translated into English for the first time. The text is about the life of a married couple who are described as the "Son of God", married to the "Daughter of God" and a Divine couple. Because of the many similarities to Jesus and his life, it's believed that this text contains the inside story of Jesus’ social, family, and political life (the missing link to the gap in the New Testament gospels in which which nothing is written about Jesus between the ages of 13 - 30 years of age). I had just said in my last video message, that I believed one day we would discover those missing gaps in the New Testament. We might learn more plain and precious truths that were taken out.

Currently, in our Biblical text, Jesus is depicted as a lowly carpenter's son, this text however portrays Him as a powerful political figure at the highest levels of the Roman Empire, and reveals a plot to kill him 13 years prior to his crucifixion. This depiction coincides with the Biblical depiction of religious leaders and government leaders feeling threatened by His growing popularity. Not only was He believed to be the Son of God by His followers but they believed He would deliver them from Rome. If He were not politically involved, I don't believe the religious leaders and government at the time would have felt threatened.

A few years ago, I remember hearing a woman bear testimony of what she had learned about Jesus' life on earth from her visit to the other side of the veil. She said that His parents were wealthy. Joseph was a renowned Master carpenter and sought out by the wealthy for his work. He had a very affluent reputation for his fine skills. She also said that wisemen traveled in a large caravan with many servants and it was quite the entourage. They brought enough gold for Jesus to sustain He and His family throughout their entire life. Their family was affluent, reputable, and well-to-do.

Now to the background of this mysterious manuscript. What is the backstory? Around 550 A.D. an anonymous individual (believed to be a monk) wrote to his friend, Moses of Ingila. He had come across a "small, very old" book called Of Aseneth in the library in Resh'aina belonging to the bishops who had originally come from Aleppo. Suspecting that it contained a hidden message, he asked Moses of Ingila to translate the work from Greek into Syriac, a language with which he was more familiar. Moses of Ingila obliged, sending him a Syriac translation and noting that it was a work of wisdom, the meaning of which had to be carefully discerned. As he started to indicate the hidden Christological meaning, the text of the covering letter is suddenly cut off, while at the same time confirming the truth of mainstream Christianity and Jesus Christ in his letter perhaps deliberately so in antiquity according to the authors.

This manuscript is said to be the history of two figures named "Joseph and Aseneth", who bear the same names as Joseph of Egypt and his wife Aseneth.  The only problem is that Joseph of Egypt and his wife lived 1,400 years prior to the details and setting of this story, which has all the earmarks of the political & geographical setting in the New Testament. There is very little that connects them to the actual Joseph of Egypt and his wife in the Old Testament, therefore leading the readers to believe that these are pseudo-names to protect the true identity of the couple. The text contains Christian terminology and Eucharistic symbolism making it a non-Jewish text and contains encrypted meanings meant to be decoded. This correlates to the time period in which it was written, where Christians were heavily persecuted and their texts were burned. If someone were wanting to preserve a text or gospel at that time, they would write it in a way that would go undetected as Christian therefore to preserve it. In hopes that at a future date, those meant to discover this lost history would be able to do so.

From what I have heard, this text paints a different form of Christianity that was practiced in the early years of Christianity before it was changed and consolidated into what would become the state religion of the Roman Empire. There are parts in the text that have been cut out and blotted out as if to conceal what was originally written. I will say that I have not read the book yet, so I haven't made a conclusion for myself, however it's very fascinating that this manuscript survived all these years, later being preserved in a library in Britain completely void of interest or awareness to the public.

One last fact to this story that is difficult to ignore, is that the author's of this English translation have been under heavy persecution since publishing their findings in 2014. They have been discredited and shut down in every way imaginable. Because their findings challenge modern-day Christianity in that Jesus was married and had children, they have been made a mockery in their profession. The 1,450 year-old manuscript still remains in the British Library today, and because of the discrediting of their findings, no one is talking about it.

Again, I have not read the book - however, whether or not this text proves to be a true lost gospel, I can't help but wonder how many others throughout history have been shut down, persecuted, discredited etc. because their findings challenge the status quo. How much truth currently exists in plain sight? I am amazed that I stumbled across this finding after pondering the very topic last week. Because nothing is known about the original author of the text, it is difficult to claim truth to the story - but that won't stop me from reading the book anyway, and prayerfully using my gift of discernment. I always walk away with something beneficial from all that I am led to. ;)

Here is a video below with more detail about what I have shared. I highly recommend watching it.

Getting Ready...

It's really exciting to be a part of unity during this divisive time in our nation's history! We are gearing up to launch our Believers Building Bridges Tour in January 2019, in Branson Missouri.

Dr. Lynn Ridenhour, who founded this tour & movement has put together a video to better explain the purpose behind the tour and the vision. Our team consists of Pentecostals, Baptists, Charismatics, theologians (Graduate of Fuller Theological Seminary), Latter-day Saints, Restoration Branch, and RLDS (aka Community of Christ).

We are really looking forward to showing the world what love and unity among the body of Christ looks like. Coming together and setting our differences aside to serve and love God's children. Can't wait! 💕

These videos explain what we are doing. Feel free to share with your friends and family!

Truth Will Cut Like a Knife!

I beat the record with the length of this week's video message! There is symbolism in 3:23:00. After publishing the video to YouTube, I noticed those numbers. 23 is the same as 11 in that they are both the final hour of the day. 3rd day power in the 23rd hour!

In this message I share my experience with the ten-day social media fast, as well as discussing current headlines, happenings, and a powerful message from Elder Ballard who spoke at my regional conference - and just what tools the adversary is using against us in this final hour. What are those tools? Watch to find out.

"Truth" - The Theme for This Week

Oh you guys, I loved this podcast episode so much! Someone shared it with me a couple weeks ago and I was so glad she did. Everyone I have since shared it with, has loved it just as much. This is the podcast I referenced in my new video message. Their message is exactly everything I've been sharing over the last year. It's so nice to hear it from someone else. I'd love to hear your thoughts after listening. It's funny because the podcast is called "His Simple Truths", and the episode is called "Layered Truth", and my new video message is titled, "Truth Will Cut Like a Knife". It looks like the theme this week is "truth"! :)

Understanding the Covenant Path

A friend of mine typed this up and sent it to me last week and I found it valuable to share here. I had actually been studying the covenant path because it was the theme of General Conference. I was so happy he took the time to organize this in the outline below. As mentioned in my upcoming video message, it's so important for us to re-visit the covenants we have made and understand how they help us become like our Savior.

“The Final Judgment is not just an evaluation of a sum total of good and evil acts—what we have done,” taught Elder Dallin H. Oaks of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. “It is an acknowledgment of the final effect of our acts and thoughts—what we have become. It is not enough for anyone just to go through the motions. The commandments, ordinances, and covenants of the gospel are not a list of deposits required to be made in some heavenly account. The gospel of Jesus Christ is a plan that shows us how to become what our Heavenly Father desires us to become."

COVENANTS I HAVE MADE / STAYING ON THE COVENANT PATH

1) Baptism /Confirmation of Holy Ghost

Baptismal CovenantMosiah 18:8-10

8 And it came to pass that he said unto them: Behold, here are the waters of Mormon (for thus were they called) and now, as ye are desirous to come into the fold of God, and to be called his people, and are willing to bear one another’s burdens, that they may be light;

9 Yea, and are willing to mourn with those that mourn; yea, and comfort those that stand in need of comfort, and to stand as witnesses of God at all times and in all things, and in all places that ye may be in, even until death, that ye may be redeemed of God, and be numbered with those of the first resurrection, that ye may have eternal life—

10 Now I say unto you, if this be the desire of your hearts, what have you against being baptized in the name of the Lord, as a witness before him that ye have entered into a covenant with him, that ye will serve him and keep his commandments, that he may pour out his Spirit more abundantly upon you?

My Part of the Covenant:

  • Serve him & keep his commandments
  • Desire to come into the fold of God
  • Take upon you the name of Christ
  • MINISTERING
    • Bear one another's burdens
    • Mourn with those that Mourn
    • Comfort those in need of comfort
    • Stand as a witness of God in all places
God's Part of the Covenant:
  • Redeem you from your sins
  • Numbered you among those of the 1st Resurrection
  • Give you Eternal Life
  • Pour his spirit out more abundantly upon you

Sacrament Covenant Renewal
  • Blessing on the Bread
    • O God, the Eternal Father, we ask thee in the name of thy Son, Jesus Christ, to bless and sanctify this bread to the souls of all those who partake of it, that they may eat in remembrance of the body of thy Son, and witness unto thee, O God, the Eternal Father, that they are willing to take upon them the name of thy Son, and always remember him and keep his commandments which he has given them; that they may always have his Spirit to be with them. Amen.
  • Blessing on the Water
    • O God, the Eternal Father, we ask thee in the name of thy Son, Jesus Christ, to bless and sanctify this water to the souls of all those who drink of it, that they may do it in remembrance of the blood of thy Son, which was shed for them; that they may witness unto thee, O God, the Eternal Father, that they do always remember him, that they may have his Spirit to be with them. Amen.
  • Eat the bread / in remembrance of his body and be a witness of Him in all places.
  • Take his name upon us, keep his Commandments, and always remember him
  • Drink the water or wine in remembrance of the blood that he shed in your behalf.
  • We are promised that we will have his Spirit to be with us always if we do the above things.
2) Oath & Covenant of the Priesthood

D&C 84:33-41

33 For whoso is faithful unto the obtaining these two priesthoods of which I have spoken, and the magnifying their calling, are sanctified by the Spirit unto the renewing of their bodies.

34 They become the sons of Moses and of Aaron and the seed of Abraham, and the church and kingdom, and the elect of God.

35 And also all they who receive this priesthood receive me, saith the Lord;
36 For he that receiveth my servants receiveth me;

37 And he that receiveth me receiveth my Father;

38 And he that receiveth my Father receiveth my Father’s kingdom; therefore all that my Father hath shall be given unto him.

39 And this is according to the oath and covenant which belongeth to the priesthood.

40 Therefore, all those who receive the priesthood, receive this oath and covenant of my Father, which he cannot break, neither can it be moved.

41 But whoso breaketh this covenant after he hath received it, and altogether turneth therefrom, shall not have forgiveness of sins in the world to come.

My Part of the Covenant:

  • Receive the Aaronic and Melchizedek priesthoods, emphasis on RECEIVE
  • Magnify their calling to the priesthood.
  •  Receive Christ
  • Receive the father

God's Part if the Covenant:

  • Sanctified / Body Renewed
  • Become sons of Aaron, Moses, Abraham
  • Become the church, Kingdom, & Elect of God.
  • Receive Christ (Second Comforter)
  • Receive the Father (Third Comforter)
  • Receive All the Father Has

3) Temple Covenants Made During the Endowment

Sacrifice & Obedience

  • We agree to obey God's laws and keep his commandments. ( Harken)
  • Early followers of Christ agreed to keep the law of Sacrifice by following the laws that were given in the Old Testament concerning sacrificing of animals and the first fruits unto God by following the Law of Moses.
  • Followers of Christ , after his atonement, Covenant to give unto him a broken heart and a contrite spirit, as well as to sacrifice of themselves.
  • During the temple endowment we receive instructions and make covenants related to our eternal exaltation.
Law of the Gospel & Charge Associated with It

  • The Sermon on the Mount / Sermon at the Temple during Christ's Ministry. The Beatitudes show us a stairway to Christ (see image below).

3 Nephi 12:1-12

1 Therefore blessed are ye if ye shall believe in me and be baptized, after that ye have seen me and know that I am.

2 And again, more blessed are they who shall believe in your words because that ye shall testify that ye have seen me, and that ye know that I am. Yea, blessed are they who shall believe in your words, and come down into the depths of humility and be baptized, for they shall be visited with fire and with the Holy Ghost, and shall receive a remission of their sins.

3 Yea, blessed are the poor in spirit who come unto me, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

4 And again, blessed are all they that mourn, for they shall be comforted.

5 And blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.

6 And blessed are all they who do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled with the Holy Ghost.

7 And blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.

8 And blessed are all the pure in heart, for they shall see God.

9 And blessed are all the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God.

10 And blessed are all they who are persecuted for my name’s sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11 And blessed are ye when men shall revile you and persecute, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake;

12 For ye shall have great joy and be exceedingly glad, for great shall be your reward in heaven; for so persecuted they the prophets who were before you.

The Gathering is Hastening - A Delightful Experience!

A dear sweet sister (Marsha), approached my good friend Lynn Ridenhour and I at the FIRM expo a couple weeks ago. The FIRM expo is an International Book of Mormon evidence conference held twice a year. Lynn had just finished speaking to a large crowd of 800 attendees about our "Believers Building Bridges" tour, and was over at his table signing books. There was a long line of people wanting to meet Lynn, and many of them approached me as well and we made some wonderful connections.

Marsha excitedly introduced herself to Lynn and I and said, "I just had to run home and get a copy of this for you! The Spirit told me to run home and get this, and so I did!" In her hand she held some papers stapled together and explained to us that she had been on a journey over the past several years to gather scriptures and quotes that in a sense promoted our message of interfaith unity. She had put together this document and had kept it to herself until now. She said she was delighted to find that there are others out there on this same journey. It brought her so much joy and hope. The excitement of her energy was contagious and I asked her for permission to share what she had collected on my blog. She happily consented and gave me a copy.

She later concluded in an email:

"The scriptures are the ones the Lord gave me on my personal journey in understanding His great work, which has been a life changer for me; I am so happy to share them with the hope they will bless others as well. I thought at first only LDS [Latter-day Saint] people would be interested, but the Lord has impressed upon my mind that they will bless many others as well in helping them understand the beautiful words He has given to some of His Latter-day prophets, which have been recorded and given to us today. I have written commentary explaining the use of these scriptures. I think it's worded pretty well, so just read it!"

I have included her research below and if you click on the images, you can make them bigger and they are much easier to read. :)

A Battle For Your Mind - & An Epic General Conference!

Yay! I am so excited that this day has finally arrived. This General Conference should one we never forget. I have the orange rolls rising in the oven and spent some time in the early hours this morning being with the Lord. I am so ready to hear the inspired new messages that the Lord will reveal to us today. I pasted links below if you'd like to watch.

In this week's video message I share about more symbolism in local and world events as well as the battle that is raging right now within the kingdoms, the world, and our very own minds. How can we come prepared to the battle? Watch to find out.

In the End, Only Kindness Matters

Last night my husband shared these map images with me. The first is a current weather radar image of the U.S. The second is a radar image of the next few days in which we’ll go from parched, to grab your life jacket! Rain from both ends of the country meeting in the heartland. When was the last time this happened?

This morning I woke up to this 1998 Jewel song playing in my head. I have not heard this song in a really long time, so I took it as a message from the other side. As I began to sing it out loud, I realized just how relevant the lyrics are to this hour we are living in. I pasted the music video below which very much resonates with what's going on in the world.

Hands

If I could tell the world just one thing
It would be that we're all OK
And not to worry 'cause worry is wasteful
And useless in times like these
I won't be made useless
I won't be idle with despair
I will gather myself around my faith
For light does the darkness most fear

My hands are small, I know
But they're not yours, they are my own
But they're not yours, they are my own
And I am never broken

Poverty stole your golden shoes
But it didn't steal your laughter
And heartache came to visit me
But I knew it wasn't ever after

We'll fight, not out of spite
For someone must stand up for what's right
'Cause where there's a man who has no voice
There ours shall go singing

My hands are small I know
But they're not yours, they are my own
But they're not yours, they are my own
And I am never broken

In the end only kindness matters
In the end only kindness matters

I will get down on my knees, and I will pray
I will get down on my knees, and I will pray
I will get down on my knees, and I will pray

My hands are small I know
But they're not yours, they are my own
But they're not yours, they are my own
And I am never broken

My hands are small I know
But they're not yours, they are my own
But they're not yours, they are my own
And I am never broken
We are never broken

We are God's eyes
God's hands
God's mind
We are God's eyes
God's hands
God's heart
We are God's eyes
God's hands
God's eyes
We are God's hands
We are God's hands

Encounters with Angels and Prophecy Fulfilled

I have been a fan of the Sid Roth show for a few years now, and occasionally I share some of my favorite episodes. Here are two recent videos that really lit up my heart. The first video reminds me of the type of work 311 workers are engaged in this last hour, and the second video is a man named Mike Bickle who I have mentioned before. He started a prayer movement on 9/19/1999 (significant numbers) known as IHOP (International House of Prayer) in Missouri. In this video he shares how a prophetic minister prophesied over his life back in the 70's and it has since all come to pass.

My friend Lynn Ridenhour who founded our Believer's Building Bridges movement and also lives in Missouri, is a part of Mike Bickle's movement as well. In Lynn's books he talks about Mike Bickle, Bill Johnson, and Randy Clark who are all apart of this restoration movement in which their core beliefs are:

• Recognizes  the  prophetic; particularly  the  offices  of prophet and apostle.
• Believes in open revelation.
• Believes that God speaks today.
• Embraces  kingdom  theology;  i.e.,  the  kingdom  of God not  only will  be  established on earth
but is on the earth.
• Embraces  remnant theology that will overcome this world's present - day government.

With all of their commonalities with what we believe as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and what the prophet Joseph already has restored to the earth, we are excited to bring these groups together to become more acquainted with each other, as we believe this interfaith unity will bring about Zion.

I have provided recent videos below of Mike Bickle, Bill Johnson, and Randy Clark so you can hear their incredible testimonies and stories of faith, prayer, and healing. God is working with so many wonderful Christian men and women all over the earth to bring about His purposes. I believe we will see more of this as we continue building Zion together all throughout the world.

The Heart of Zion - And Changes Coming to the Church!

The Lord has plans for our hearts in this 11th hour. Let's talk about what He's already been doing. In this week's video message, I share insight on this coming General Conference in relation to the winds of change, and was there a message from Heaven in the hurricanes? Watch to find out.

The Winds of Change

I have been putting together my notes for the next video message which relate to this upcoming General Conference, and what I feel will be shared and announced. Yesterday, President Nelson visited Seattle, and spoke to over 49,000 people. As I listened to this summary it confirmed what I have been feeling is coming. In my recent video message I spoke about the message God is sending through Mother Nature right now. The winds of change are blowing. I am so excited for General Conference. Let the countdown begin!

Sabbath Day Observance and Drought

Lately, I have been pondering the droughts in which I plan to share more about it an upcoming video message. The headlines continue to speak of farmers having to sell their cattle because they can't feed them. Farmers letting their crops die because they can't water them, and this effecting the Utah economy, and councils meeting about new Utah water conservation regulations for all of Utah.

It was no surprise when the other day I received an email from an acquaintance who shared this compilation of council and prophecy from Latter-day Saint leaders about this very topic in relation to keeping the Sabbath day holy. This is a topic I have written about many times over the past several years, and I feel it's ever so important in 2018.

Here's a link containing two blog posts from 2017, in which I addressed drought and blessings:

Here are the summarized points and council I took away from this friend's email. I would love to hear any additional thoughts.

Ucon, ID Stake conference, April 24 2016

(Anonymous Latter-day Saint) - Elder Sexton spoke and said, "I was recently taught by the first presidency a few weeks ago, just prior to General Conference and it's my responsibility to bring that spirit with me, to teach you the message they send to you. I'm not here teaching my own message."

Promised Blessings When Keeping it Holy

The protections promised us when we keep the Sabbath Day Holy and obey the
commandments as laid out in Leviticus 26:1-13 (reading theses verses will help you understand the notes):
  • Rain in due season = prosperous (scripture is talking in agricultural terms for the time period; but we can apply this to our day and whatever our needs are now or in the future).
  • Eat your bread to the full
  • Shall not want
  • Dwell in our land safely (Stake wide or individually, community of safety)
  • None shall make afraid  - (5 shall chase away 100, 100 shall chase away 10,000)
  • Take confidence
  • I will make you fruitful and multiplied
  • I will walk among you
Elder Sexton renewed theses blessings upon our stake, but said these promises are perpetual to ALL that keep the Sabbath Day Holy and obey the commandments.

If we choose not to keep it holy:
  • I will appoint over you terror... terrorism (He asked if anyone had seen any terrorism happening in the world. He then said it gets worse and to read the rest of Leviticus (verse 14 & on) if you want to know... it's really bad but we don't want to dwell on that here today).
Faith will increase as we see the fulfillment of this promise. Sabbath observance is the great test of the faithful and shows the depth of our conviction.

The Blessings of Not Working on Sunday

A local sister bore her testimony about being in High School and wanting to do well. She said her father did not value education and if she was going to be able to go to college it was going to have to be on scholarships. She made the goal to do well enough to get as many scholarships as possible ensuring her a full ride to college. She also had made a promise to Heavenly Father early on to not do any work on Sunday, including homework. Her father owned a business and felt that hard work was
the only way to make it and the kids were expected to help daily with this business leaving little time to get homework done. In High School it was so hard for her to get all her assignments done, and she stayed up late many times so as to never miss one and never be late with one. One week in
particular her father kept them all very busy working long hours after school and it was this same week a huge report was due. One that was half the grade for the semester, not doing this report would give her a failing grade. Her heart ached as she went to bed very late Saturday night having
only finished the rough draft. She knew this particular teacher was a fair teacher, but that she was a teacher that did not budge on due dates. This sister kept her promise of never doing homework on Sundays, but went to school with a heavy heart Monday morning. When she got to this class she
was waiting for the teacher to ask for the reports to be turned in, but what she heard instead was,
"Wow, I’m not sure what’s up, but I’m in a terribly good mood today. I think I will give you all one more day to finish up and finalize those reports. They will be due tomorrow."

A Measure for Sifting the Saints?

Stake President said that the brethren taught that there is a great "sifting" going on right now - and that Sabbath Day Observance is the sifting - and that this is the sifting that was prophesied would happen just prior to the 2nd coming of the Lord. Also, they said that Sabbath day observance will offer protection - and those who do not honor it will, "see their faith disintegrate."

January 29th 2018 Raleigh North Carolina

(Anonymous Latter-day Saint) - I had a spiritual feast last night. I had some pretty cool dreams and some neat spiritual experiences. Before I went to bed though I was contemplating the Sabbath day and why such a huge push from the Lord on this. I know the brethren have pushed this as a very big thing and strait from the Lord. There are a couple things I have known and that are common sense.

1) The obvious blessing of taking the sacrament

2) The protection that comes from keeping the commandment

We all know that the Lord is using this as a tool to sift the saints. There will be great blessings and divine protection for those who do it. The old saying some people use for paying your tithing is like paying your fire insurance. So you don't get burned. Well with the Sabbath day it is like life insurance and will literally entitle people to divine protection.

As I was contemplating this the spirit also said. They will need to be independent and strong because there will be times when there are no church meetings. There will be great disturbances and chaos through out the world and times of sickness and distress. This will be the ultimate form of self-reliance. Those who don't have the foundation of strong Sabbath day observance will struggle and will fall. This gives them strength and a foundation to keep them focused on the savior as there are times away from church. It kind of surprised me.

"For members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, honoring the Sabbath is a form of righteousness that will bless and strengthen families, connect us with our Creator, and increase happiness. The Sabbath can help separate us from that which is frivolous, inappropriate, or
immoral. It allows us to be in the world but not of the world. .....

The Spirit will help us avoid temptations and dangers, and comfort and lead us through challenges. 'The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith.'

Adherence to sacred gospel principles will allow us to be temple worthy, enable us to find happiness in this life, and lead us back to our heavenly home.

My dear brothers and sisters, life is not easy, nor was it meant to be. It is a time of testing and trial. Like the old ships in Bristol Harbor, there will be times when the tide goes out and it seems as if everything in this world keeping us afloat disappears. .......

Amid such trials, I promise you that living and maintaining temple-worthy lives will hold together all that really matters. The sweet blessings of peace, happiness, and joy, along with the blessings of eternal life and celestial glory with our Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, will be realized."

"Two essential weekly signposts that mark our journey back to our Father in Heaven are the perpetual covenant of the ordinance of the sacrament and our Sabbath day observance. President Russell M. Nelson taught us last general conference that the Sabbath is the Lord’s gift to us. Our devoted weekly
observance of the Sabbath is our sign to the Lord that we love Him.

Each Sabbath day we witness that we are 'willing to take upon [ourselves His name], and always remember him, and keep his commandments.' In return for our repentant heart and our commitment, the Lord renews the promised remission of sin and enables us to “always have his Spirit to be with [us].” The Holy Spirit’s influence improves, strengthens, teaches, and guides us.

If, in remembering Him each Sabbath, we turn our hearts to the Savior through these two important signposts, our efforts are again more than matched by the Lord by His promised blessings. We are promised that, with devoted Sabbath day observance, the fullness of the earth will be ours."

"The world you're living in has some serious challenges. Today I want to emphasize a principle of the gospel that can* greatly bless your lives and protect you..........

I do remember what it was like to be your age. And I remember being confused a little about what I should or shouldn't do on Sundays. I want to speak with you about that for a moment, about understanding the Sabbath day and why it is so very important to keep it holy--more important than most of us ever realize.

In so doing, I plead with you not to see Sunday as a day of negative rules and stifling restrictions or a day of tedious duty or a day devoid of any pleasure or joy. Any such view could not be farther from the truth."

Spencer W. Kimball counseled,

"...To observe it [Sabbath], one will be on his knees in prayer, preparing lessons, studying the gospel,
meditating, visiting the ill and distressed, sleeping, reading wholesome material, and attending all the meetings of that day to which he is expected. [Failure] to do these proper things is a transgression on the omission side.”

It's Our Covenant

Jesus taught“The Sabbath was made for man. Wherefore the children of Israel [which includes all Latter-day Saints] shall keep the Sabbath … throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant. It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever.”

The Sabbath is More Than Just Church

John Taylor taught " It is customary for men in the world from which we have gathered out, to
talk on Sunday about spiritual things, when they are dressed in their Sunday coats and at meeting, and then on Monday to pack up their religion with their Sunday clothes in their trunks, to have nothing more to do with it until next Sunday. … O, the folly of man in not acknowledging God in all
things, in laying aside God and his religion, and trusting in their own judgment and intelligence.

There is something that goes a little further than we think about sometimes; and that is, while we profess to be followers of the Lord, while we profess to have received the Gospel and to be governed by it, a profession will amount to nothing unless we have washed our robes and made
them white in the blood of the Lamb. It is not enough for us to be connected with the Zion of God, for the Zion of God must consist of men that are pure in heart and pure in life and spotless before God, at least that is what we have got to arrive at. We are not there yet, but we must get there before we shall be prepared to inherit glory and exaltation; therefore a form of godliness will amount to but little with any of us, for he that knoweth the master’s will and doeth it not shall be beaten with many stripes [see Luke 12:47]. It is “not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven: but He that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” [Matthew 7:21.]

These are doctrines of the Gospel as I understand them. And it is not enough for us to embrace the Gospel and to be gathered here to the land of Zion and be associated with the people of God, attend our meetings and partake of the Sacrament of the Lord’s supper, and endeavor to move along without much blame of any kind attached to us; for notwithstanding all this, if our hearts are not right, if we are not pure in heart before God, if we have not pure hearts and pure consciences, fearing God and keeping His commandments, we shall not, unless we repent, participate in these blessings about which I have spoken, and of which the Prophets bear testimony.

It is our business to be Saints. And to be worthy of that character it is our duty to live by the principles of virtue, truth, integrity, holiness, purity, and honor that we may at all times secure the favor of Almighty God; that His blessings may be with us and dwell in our bosoms; that the
peace of God may abide in our habitations; … and that we, as a people, may be under His divine protection.
