Mosiah 18:9 - Yea, and are willing to mourn with those
that mourn; yea, and comfort those that stand in need of comfort, and to stand as a witnesses of God at all times and in all things, and in all places that ye may be in, even until death, that ye may be
redeemed of God, and be numbered with those of the first resurrection that ye may have eternal life
I accidentally left out a clip of this video, so I included it in a separate video down below. Would love to hear your thoughts and any additional insight you have on the topics in the video. So much to ponder! 💛
This weekend I plan to add some more posts to this blog related to this video, check back later!
I came across this today on facebook by some named Mary W. Pitt. She wrote:
"Because we are studying Lehi's Dream, there is a little unknown fact about Joseph Smith Senior. He had a dream of many similar portions of Lehi's dream, 9 years before the First Vision and 19 years before the publication of the Book of Mormon. It is amazing to me how the Lord prepares his children to accept things to come. That he, Joseph Smith Senior was prepared in many ways, that he would accept the things that his son saw in a vision later. Heavenly Father gave us a second and a third witness to this great vision. I have included it here."
Joseph Smith’s Father Sees the Tree of Life
Lehi and Nephi are not the only ones to have a vision of the Tree of Life. Joseph Smith’s father saw the Tree of Life vision at least 9 years before the First Vision and 19 years before the Book of Mormon was published! Consider the vision of Joseph Smith, Sr. in 1811 as recorded in Lucy Mack Smith’s history compared back and forth with Lehi’s vision: “I thought,” said [Joseph Smith, Sr.], “I was traveling in an open, desolate field which appeared to be very barren. As I was thus traveling, the thought suddenly came into my mind that I had better stop and reflect upon what I was doing before I went any farther. So I asked myself, ‘What motive can I have in traveling here, and what place can this be?’” Notice in Lehi’s vision he says: “me thought I saw in my dream, a dark and dreary wilderness.” Joseph Smith, Sr. continues: “My guide, who was by my side as before, said, ‘This is the desolate world, but travel on.’ The road was so broad and barren that I wondered why I should travel in it, for, said I to myself, ‘Broad is the road, and wide is the gate that leads to death, and many there be that walk therein; but narrow is the way, and strait is the gate that leads to everlasting life, and few there be that go in thereat.’” Lehi recorded: “And it came to pass that as I followed him [his guide] I beheld myself that I was in a dark and dreary waste. And after I had traveled for the space of many hours in darkness, I began to pray unto the Lord that he would have mercy on me, according to the multitude of his tender mercies.” Joseph Smith, Sr. continued: “Traveling a short distance further, I came to a narrow path. This path I entered, and, when I had traveled a little way in it, I beheld a beautiful stream of water which ran from the east to the west. Of this stream I could see neither the source nor yet the mouth, but as far as my eyes could extend I could see a rope, running along the bank of it about as high as a man could reach, and beyond me was a low but very pleasant valley in which stood a tree such as I had never seen before. It was exceedingly handsome, insomuch that I looked upon it with wonder and admiration. Its beautiful branches spread themselves somewhat like an umbrella, and it bore a kind of fruit, in shape much like a chestnut bur, and as white as snow, or, if possible, whiter. I gazed upon the same with considerable interest, and as I was doing so, the burs or shells commenced opening and shedding their particles, or the fruit which they contained, which was of dazzling whiteness. I drew near and began to eat of it, and I found it delicious beyond description.” Lehi said of his vision: “And it came to pass that I beheld a tree, whose fruit was desirable to make one happy. And it came to pass that I did go forth and partake of the fruit thereof; and I beheld that it was most sweet, above all that I ever before tasted. Yea, and I beheld that the fruit thereof was white, to exceed all the whiteness that I had ever seen.” Joseph Smith, Sr. recorded: “As I was eating, I said in my heart, ‘I cannot eat this alone, I must bring my wife and children, that they may partake with me.’ Accordingly, I went and brought my family, which consisted of a wife and seven children, and we all commenced eating and praising God for this blessing. We were exceedingly happy, insomuch that our joy could not easily be expressed.” Lehi said: “And as I partook of the fruit thereof it filled my soul with exceedingly great joy; wherefore, I began to be desirous that my family should partake of it also; for I knew that it was desirable above all other fruit. And as I cast my eyes round about, that perhaps I might discover my family also…” Both Lehi and Joseph Smith, Sr. could not partake of the fruit alone, they had to share it with their family and gather their families in to them (remember gathering seed of every kind?). Joseph Smith, Sr. continued: “While thus engaged, I beheld a spacious building standing opposite the valley which we were in, and it appeared to reach to the very heavens. It was full of doors and windows, and they were all filled with people, who were very finely dressed. When these people observed us in the low valley, under the tree, they pointed the finger of scorn at us, and treated us with all manner of disrespect and contempt. But their contumely we utterly disregarded.” Lehi’s vision was similar: “And I also cast my eyes round about, and beheld, on the other side of the river of water, a great and spacious building; and it stood as it were in the air, high above the earth. And it was filled with people, both old and young, both male and female; and their manner of dress was exceedingly fine; and they were in the attitude of mocking and pointing their fingers towards those who had come at and were partaking of the fruit.” Joseph Smith, Sr. was given special instructions to gather his own seed in the vision: “I presently turned to my guide and inquired of him the meaning of the fruit that was so delicious. He told me it was the pure love of God, shed abroad in the hearts of all those who love him and keep his commandments. He then commanded me to go and bring the rest of my children. I told him that we were all there. ‘No,’ he replied, ‘look yonder, you have two more, and you must bring them also.’ Upon raising my eyes, I saw two small children standing some distance off. I immediately went to them and brought them to the tree, upon which they commenced eating with the rest, and we all rejoiced together. The more we ate, the more we seemed to desire, until we even got down upon our knees and scooped it up, eating it by double handfuls.” Their joy could not be contained in partaking of the fruit together. Joseph Smith, Sr. concluded by asking what the meaning of the building was: “After feasting in this manner a short time, I asked my guide what was the meaning of the spacious building which I saw. He replied, ‘It is Babylon, it is Babylon, and it must fall. The people in the doors and windows are the inhabitants thereof, who scorn and despise the Saints of God because of their humility.’ I soon awoke, clapping my hands together for joy.” Nephi also explained the meaning of the spacious building from his own vision: “And the multitude of the earth was gathered together; and I beheld that they were in a large and spacious building, like unto the building which my father saw. And the angel of the Lord spake unto me again, saying: Behold the world and the wisdom thereof; yea, behold the house of Israel hath gathered together to fight against the twelve apostles of the Lamb. And it came to pass that I saw and bear record, that the great and spacious building was the pride of the world; and it fell, and the fall thereof was exceedingly great. And the angel of the Lord spake unto me again, saying: Thus shall be the destruction of all nations, kindreds, tongues, and people, that shall fight against the twelve apostles of the Lamb.”
The Real Meaning to the Tree of Life
Nephi’s greatest desire in his own vision was not only to see the Tree of Life, but to understand what it was. When he was shown the tree by the Spirit, Nephi is asked what he wanted. “To know the interpretation thereof…” He wanted to know what the Tree meant. An angel comes and shows him a series of visions. Nephi first sees Jerusalem (to give him orientation, I suppose) and many other cities in his ancient homeland. He is then shown Nazareth. In the city of Nazareth he sees a virgin who is exceedingly fair and white, and “most beautiful and fair above all other virgins.” Remember: Nephi has asked to know what this symbol of the Tree of Life means. He is shown all these things. He is then asked a question that he does not know the answer to: “Knowest thou the condescension of God?” Nephi fumbles for an answer, “I know that he loveth his children; nevertheless, I do not know the meaning of all things.”[vi] The angel puts everything together now for Nephi: “Behold, the virgin whom thou seest is the mother of the Son of God, after the manner of the flesh. And it came to pass that I beheld that she was carried away in the Spirit; and after she had been carried away in the Spirit for the space of a time the angel spake unto me, saying: Look! And I looked and beheld the virgin again, bearing a child in her arms.” Then the angel says to Nephi, essentially, “NOW do you know the meaning of the Tree?” He does. The Tree of Life is the perfect representation of the Son of God—of Jesus Christ Himself. It is not just the ethereal love of God, or a symbolic manifestation of the sweetness of the Gospel, it is Jesus Christ—all those who come to the Tree are coming to partake of the Atonement of Jesus Christ and receive eternal life. The first verse of the chapter now makes more sense about gathering all manner of seed. We are all to gather to the Tree—to come to the Atonement of Jesus Christ. And who are the seed of Christ? “Behold I say unto you, that whosoever has heard the words of the prophets, yea, all the holy prophets who have prophesied concerning the coming of the Lord—I say unto you, that all those who have hearkened unto their words, and believed that the Lord would redeem his people, and have looked forward to that day for a remission of their sins, I say unto you, that these are his seed, or they are the heirs of the kingdom of God.” This makes the dream or vision of Lehi and of Joseph Smith, Sr. all the more powerful—these are essential stories (in all cultures) to bring us to the Son of the Most High God, to Jesus Christ, the Messiah, the Savior of all. How blessed we are to have these visions recorded.
I have not heard this fireside/interview since about 2011-2012. Can't remember which year it came out. I was unaware that it's on YouTube until someone sent it to me.
In this video you'll hear "Spencer" share his experiences from the book Visions of Glory, while being interviewed by John Pontius. You'll also hear reference to Kenneth Cope (the musician) who was also present at this fireside.
I absolutely love this! The spirit is strong in testifying of this message. It's so inspiring and uplifting. ❤️
YouTube continues to block your voice on my channel. Please feel free to share your comments here or on my Happy Lady facebook page where this video is also posted. I'd love to hear from you. ❤️ In this week's video message I talk about bout fear vs. faith, personal experiences, and recent headlines in the news. Just what messages are in the mess? And was there a message in the controversial Kentucky Derby? You know there was! 😉
In this week's video message, I talk about where I've been and where I'm going in reference to what awaits the body of Christ in 2019-2020. Plus, what recent prophecies have just been fulfilled? Watch to find out!
With all the hate and division happening in the headlines, comments, and social media, let's talk about the blessings & transformations attached to replacing judgement and criticism with love. It's so worth it! Also, what recent events, patterns, weather phenomenon, and signs should we be paying attention to? Watch to find out.
I beat the record with the length of this week's video message! There is symbolism in 3:23:00. After publishing the video to YouTube, I noticed those numbers. 23 is the same as 11 in that they are both the final hour of the day. 3rd day power in the 23rd hour! In this message I share my experience with the ten-day social media fast, as well as discussing current headlines, happenings, and a powerful message from Elder Ballard who spoke at my regional conference - and just what tools the adversary is using against us in this final hour. What are those tools? Watch to find out.
It's has been the busiest summer ever! There are so many posts I want to write, but I find myself never having enough time in the day and therefore sharing these topics in my video messages. I plan to post something later in the week that will lead very well into my next video message. I think you will like it! :)
This week's video message is about some dreams and visions that shed light on what we need to be doing in this final hour, as well as signs, symbols, and number meanings. I share an incredible story and vision about a mother and her missionary son. Enjoy!
One thing I must express gratitude for, is the opportunity I have to share all the amazing videos, books, teachers, and links I come across here on my blog and in my Happy Lady videos with all of you. Not only are the blog and YouTube channel, tools where I can share what I've been discovering but also a great source for all of you (my friends and subscribers) to share what you have been discovering. There are so many of you who are so kind to share in private emails and messages your sacred experiences, testimonies, suggested reads, materials & teachers, and I love returning the favor in my videos and blogposts. Links are always provided in the video description of each of my videos to a wealth of resources. I'm amazed at how many messages come through each day from all of you, and humbled by what you share.
A friend of mine and follower of the blog, referred me to this video yesterday. I must say how grateful I am to have been able to watch this. It's so refreshing to know that there are more LDS people out there who are on the same page as me. This is the message I have been feeling so strong lately, and conveying in my video messages here a little and there a little - and so you can imagine how excited I was to discover all of it one video presentation. Adam Miller sums it up so well - better than I can. This is exactly how I feel! We can meet the Savior in the flesh before He returns to the earth as prophesied. We can meet Him often, and there is no Near Death Experience required! We can and should be seeking this kind of relationship with Him. This is His will for us - all of us.
If you don't have time to watch the entire video, go to 41:08 and you will hear Adam confirm (in his own words) that he has had what I believe to be a Second Comforter experience. To hear someone speak so boldly and beautifully about a topic that has always been "hushed" over the years, and to hear them speak it at BYU and see that it was so well received, just had me doing a happy dance!
In recent videos I have shared quite a bit about Shawn Little Bear. He is an LDS missionary, High Priest, and Medicine Man of the Cheyenne tribe of Oklahoma. He has an incredible mission and a lot to share about prophecy that's been and currently being fulfilled, based on the records of his people, and in comparison to the records in the Book of Mormon.
Yes, as I've mentioned in my recent video - his tribe has the book of Lehi! As well as other records that will soon be translated into English and published online for the world to see. He has support from LDS church leadership and two of the twelve apostles are involved in this undertaking.
I've included a video presentation below where Shawn shares some incredible information he did not share in the presentation I attended. You are going to want to listen to this video, especially the part about the old wood. I also pasted my video below where I share my notes from Shawn's recent presentation I attended at a Book of Mormon conference. In the bottom video, fast forward to 1:04:17 in the video and that's where I begin sharing my notes (the good stuff).
Today this video caught my attention when I saw that it was 1:13:52 in length. There's that number! After watching it I felt the importance of this man's message as he truly operates in third day power in the eleventh hour. This is the kind of faith that's needed in this eleventh hour and these are the kinds of miracles we need to be claiming. I feel we have a lot to learn from our Christian brother's and sisters when it comes to faith.
I've always been a fan of the Sid Roth show because I love the miracles and experiences that the guests often share. Miraculous healings, angelic visitations, the glory of God working in the lives of the believers. I remember at times feeling a little envious that we as Latter-day Saints aren't having these same kinds of experiences in our conferences and meeting houses. I would think about how awesome it would be if members could experience healing at church. If the hand of God would fall upon congregations and we'd witness miracles just like during the time of the Savior. How come so many other Christian leaders and congregations were experiencing these powerful miracles, acts of faith, and witnesses, but it seemed to be lacking or seldom spoken of in our services? Our members have access to the power the Priesthood. We have the restored gospel, yet more and more of our members deal with depression, anxiety, mental illness, and suffer from physical ailments. They accept it as their cross to bear rather than asking for healing miracles through priesthood power. Why?
I was beginning to lose hope in our Latter-day generation, and felt we were slipping away from the powerful faith held by our early fore-bearers of the Church, especially in such a critical time as this eleventh hour. And then...
... at the recent General Conference, President Nelson spoke these powerful words that ushered a wake-up call to the Saints, especially the brethren. I could feel it in the sound of his voice and see it in his eyes. He knows. He knows our potential that we are not tapping into. He knows who and what this generation of Saints is supposed to be. He knows, and he'll see to it that we step into our divine roles and become powerful sons and daughters in the Lord's Kingdom.
"We see faithful women who understand the power inherent in their callings and in their endowment and other temple ordinances. These women know how to call upon the powers of heaven to protect and strengthen their husbands, their children, and others they love. These are spiritually strong women who lead, teach, and minister fearlessly in their callings with the power and authority of God!1 How thankful I am for them! Likewise, we see faithful men who live up to their privileges as bearers of the priesthood. They lead and serve by sacrifice in the Lord’s way with love, kindness, and patience. They bless, guide, protect, and strengthen others by the power of the priesthood they hold. They bring miracles to those they serve while they keep their own marriages and families safe. They shun evil and are mighty elders in Israel. I am most thankful for them! Now, may I voice a concern? It is this: Too many of our brothers and sisters do not fully understand the concept of priesthood power and authority. They act as though they would rather satisfy their own selfish desires and appetites than use the power of God to bless His children. I fear that too many of our brothers and sisters do not grasp the privileges that could be theirs. Some of our brethren, for example, act like they do not understand what the priesthood is and what it enables them to do. Priesthood power has been restored to this earth, and yet far too many brothers and sisters go through terrible trials in life without ever receiving a true priesthood blessing. What a tragedy! That’s a tragedy that we can eliminate. Brethren, there are doors we can open, priesthood blessings we can give, hearts we can heal, burdens we can lift, testimonies we can strengthen, lives we can save, and joy we can bring into the homes of the Latter-day Saints—all because we hold the priesthood of God. We are the men who have been “called and prepared from the foundation of the world according to the foreknowledge of God, on account of [our] exceeding faith,” to do this work."
Back to the video. As wonderfully bizarre as this man's experiences may sound, I believe his example to be a blueprint for all Christians (especially Latter-day Saints), who believe in the Lord and His power, who understand prayer, who have unwavering faith, and who hear the Lord's voice and obey. The Lord can and will use us as instruments in His hands in these last days - if we are willing.
I have included a link to the full version of this interview that contains extra awesomeness, as well as a link to the transcript for the interview, if you'd prefer to read. :) Enjoy! https://sidroth.org/television/tv-archives/henry-gruver/
What does it mean to operate in third day power while in the eleventh hour? I share some personal experiences of how healing, signs, miracles, and wonders are alive more than ever!
Are you an 11th hour worker - what message can we learn from this final hour? I explain what that means and it's connection to 311. Check out what viewers have been sharing - and more about stars.
So what was this recent rare moon all about? The battle of darkness and light is ramping up as time winds down. I've experienced the truth of this in my own life over the past week and experienced a profound healing miracle! This is the hour to claim wholeness and experience the Lord's power. What does this mean for you?
2018 is going to be quite the year! I had a profound dream about a personal forecast for the new year that can be applied to all. Part of that message is how loving your enemies is crucial to your spiritual growth and success. I'm amazed at the feedback I've already been receiving about this video in private messages. It truly is inspiring!
I have shared messages before from Sadhu Sundar Selvaraj (a Christian minister from India) on this blog. It is so amazing how the Lord works. The other day I was wondering if brother Sadhu had been to the United States to speak recently. This morning as I went to find something to listen to while cleaning my kitchen today, a couple videos popped up back to back from a best selling author that had to do with exactly what I shared in my post yesterday about President Trump. I will put together my thoughts about those two videos and share in a post in the next couple days. Then this new video popped up of brother Sadhu on the Jim Baker Show and when he mentioned some revelation he received about L.A. and the United States I felt the Spirit confirm the truthfulness of what I shared in yesterday's post from my own revelation.
These videos were an additional witness to what the Spirit has been speaking to me. This week will be filled with more posts than I usually write in a week - but there is so much flowing into my mind and heart lately that I can't help but piece it together on my blog.
These videos seem long, but when you fast forward through the commercials and advertisements, they aren't so long. They are listed on order of day one to day four. The last video appears to be a clip from a sermon he gave on the Jim Baker Show around the same time, I can't find it in it's entirety and it's not on the Jim Baker Channel. If anyone happens to find it, please share. Hope you enjoy, and I'd love to hear your thoughts!
UPDATE - I happened to stumble across the video in it's entirety (on the last day of the year) and added it at the bottom.
We are always taught to ask and receive, knock and it shall be opened - but what about when the Lord comes knocking, and He asks of us? Do we recognize the ways in which He knocks and are we letting Him in to hear His message?
I love this week's video message, and it's no surprise that the Adversary is already working hard to take it down. As soon as I clicked on "publish" in YouTube, an instant copyright claim popped up from a Middle Eastern musician. It took me to the frame in the video where the copyright violation was, and it was a frame of me talking about a scripture in D&C. I filed a dispute. Watch it while you can! It's an important message :)
This topic seems to be growing in great interest in many circles as of lately. I couldn't refrain from sharing what the Spirit has taught me.
Did you know there are about twelve experiences recorded in the New Testament of Jesus personally visiting his apostles and disciples in between His Crucifixion and final ascension into Heaven? In fact, during one of those visitations He appeared above a group of 500 bretheren all at the same time. Paul tells us of some of those accounts, "And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.
After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time." 1 Corinthians 15:4-8 When Jesus finally ascended into Heaven there were two angels that said to His apostles, "...Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven." As we reflect on the timeline and process of Jesus' ascension we see that His final ascension into Heaven was preceded by many visitations in the flesh. If He is to return in the same manner that He left (from the Heavens), would that mean that the process might also be the same? A succession of visits and appearances in the flesh to His chosen servants leading up to His final return and descent to the earth? When the Savior ministered for 40 days following His crucixicition, He was preparing His disciples for their approaching missions. Luke states that during the 40-day ministry the Savior spoke “of the things pertaining to the Kingdom of God,” Mark concurs that Jesus’ final instructions to his disciples included the charge to go “into all the world, and preach.” Mark 16:15 Could it be that prior to His return, He will in likewise manner appear unto His disciples all over the world and give them instruction for their last days missions, to gather in the final harvest? Will He again share precious things pertaining to the Kingdom of God? In the Book of Mormon it is recorded in Third Nephi that during 34 A.D. the resurrected Savior visited the American continent and ministered to the Nephite people in the flesh. He spoke of many things that "no tongue can speak, neither can there be written by any man, neither can the hearts of men conceive so great and marvelous things" (seen and heard). 3 Nephi 17:17 Could the Savior have been speaking in Heavenly tongues? And might this have created the powerful event as the veil was opened and angels ministered unto the people? They too were taught many beautiful truths pertaining to the Kingdom of God.
In 3 Nephi 18:25, Jesus commands them to feel Him and to see Him, then to likewise go unto the world and preach this commandment. "And ye see that I have commanded that none of you should go away, but rather have commanded that ye should come unto me, that ye might feel and see; even so shall ye do unto the world; and whosoever breaketh this commandment suffereth himself to be led into temptation." As we think about the many lands and nations upon the earth that forbid proselyting, evangelism, and the practicing of Christianity, we might wonder how these people will ever learn of Jesus Christ and know that He is their personal Savior? Could it be that the Lord will work upon them in like manner as He did the Nephite people, Alma the Younger, or the Apostle Paul?
As scripture says, the apostle Paul (prior to his conversion) was traveling on the road from Jerusalem to Damascus on a mission to arrest any who were preaching of Jesus Christ, when the resurrected Jesus appeared to him in a great light. He was struck blind, but after three days his sight was restored by Ananias of Damascus and Paul began to preach that Jesus of Nazareth is the Messiah and the Son of God. Could the Lord appear to those who have not known Him, and choose them to His ministry? To gather in the fold from their part of the world to prepare for the greater gathering that is to come? Could this be the first step toward their receiving the fullness of the gospel? Could the Lord already be preparing His people right now? As you ponder that question, I'd like to share with you some scripture, followed by some of my most favorite interviews of those who did not know Jesus was their Savior until they had their own Divine encounters with Him. We are talking Jews, Muslims, atheists, occult members, and those in communist countries where Christianity is forbidden. Just how can we explain people of diverse or non-Christian faiths having such encounters, conversions, and callings? In Moroni 7:24-26 Moroni tells us, "And behold, there were divers ways that he did manifest things unto the children of men, which were good; and all things which are good cometh of Christ; otherwise men were fallen, and there could no good thing come unto them. Wherefore, by the ministering of angels, and by every word which proceeded forth out of the mouth of God, men began to exercise faith in Christ; and thus by faith, they did lay hold upon every good thing; and thus it was until the coming of Christ. And after that he came men also were saved by faith in his name; and by faith, they become the sons of God. And as surely as Christ liveth he spake these words unto our fathers, saying: Whatsoever thing ye shall ask the Father in my name, which is good, in faith believing that ye shall receive, behold, it shall be done unto you." In Moroni 7:30 Moroni tells us the purpose of ministering angels and just who they visit; "For behold, they are subject unto him, to minister according to the word of his command, showing themselves unto them of strong faith and a firm mind in every form of godliness. And the office of their ministry is to call men unto repentance, and to fulfil and to do the work of the covenants of the Father, which he hath made unto the children of men, to prepare the way among the children of men, by declaring the word of Christ unto the chosen vessels of the Lord, that they may bear testimony of him. And by so doing, the Lord God prepareth the way that the residue of men may have faith in Christ, that the Holy Ghost may have place in their hearts, according to the power thereof; and after this manner bringeth to pass the Father, the covenants which he hath made unto the children of men."
No, they do not focus on those who are near perfect, rather they call the imperfect to repentance. He declares His word unto those whom He chooses (whom he has called to repentance) so that they may bear testimony of Him. And let me tell you, these kinds of conversions make the best testimonies, and often lead to even greater conversions. He does this to prepare a way for men to have faith in Him, so the Holy Ghost may have a place in their hearts. This prepares the way (the desire to receive) to the fullness of the gospel and the covenants. Just as there are diverse ways that He manifests truths to the children of men Moroni tells us there are also diverse ways that He administers gifts of the Spirit to all men. He reminds us that God cannot be put in a box. As we encounter others (using our gift of discernment) who have received spiritual gifts in a manner that seems "outside the box" He reminds us that they (all good gifts that bear good fruit) are all from the same God. We need not fear or doubt them. These gifts are given by the manifestations of the Spirit of God in which He has said are manifested in different ways. "And again, I exhort you, my brethren, that ye deny not the gifts of God, for they are many; and they come from the same God. And there are different ways that these gifts are administered; but it is the same God who worketh all in all; and they are given by the manifestations of the Spirit of God unto men, to profit them." These scriptures I have shared contain a wealth of treasure and I encourage you to ponder them with sincere prayer. I hope you enjoy the videos of the beautiful testimonies (shared below) as much as I have, but before you watch them, I'd like to share some of my most favorite quotes from the recent General Conference about attaining our own personal relationship with our Savior Jesus Christ. Per the Stake President's message shared at our recent stake conference, that's the most important thing we should be seeking right now. I have felt a strong witness of the truth of that. It has been the theme of my stake conference as well as General Conference. Did you hear it too? “'Thou shalt abide in me, and I in you; therefore walk with me.' Do we trust Him enough to abide in Him and walk with Him?" Neill F. Marriott "If you will hear Him, He will speak to you this very day." President Dieter F. Uchtdorf "...we must bring the Savior into our life—into our very being—that we may be one. How does this happen? ...spend much time in secret with Jesus alone ...If we yearn to dwell in Christ and have Him dwell in us, then holiness is what we seek, in both body and spirit." Elder D. Todd Christofferson "Make time and take time to come to know Jesus Christ..." Jean B. Bingham CONCLUSION Could the apostles be encouraging us to seek the Lord so that we might come to know Him in a way that we never imagined possible? So, that when He comes to us we will know Him because we will be like Him? The imagination is a powerful gift that the Lord has given us, are we using it enough? If we can visualize it first, we can bring it to life with faith. The Lord calls many to His work, but few say "yes Lord". It is my prayer that with great zeal we say "yes" when He calls.
