Must See Films!

I have to put a good word out for these 2 amazing Netflix films. The first one you should watch is this one Apostle Peter and the Last Supper. It is really good! After I watched it I was surprised to hear the scripture about Jesus questioning Peter (if he loves him) a couple of different times during General Conference. I had suggested this movie to several friends who also loved it and noticed the mentioning as well during conference. It's a must watch!

I have to say that the actor who portrays Jesus does a phenomenal job! The first time we saw him in the movie we weren't sure about him as we had never seen a Jesus depicted quite like him (sporting a large grin). By the end of the movie we felt he was one of the most loving Jesus' we had ever seen.

This next movie I watched last night and was very teary eyed again from this actor's amazing performance who also plays Jesus is The Encounter. I can't say that the other actors were as good as him or that many of the scenes were not predictable, but I must say that the film beautifully portrays the love that the Savior has for all of us and how he longs to serve us. It was very touching and brought me closer to the Savior. It's a must watch!!

There is a part 2 to this movie that is on Netflix but it was not as good as this one. I'd love to hear your reviews!

Tower Dream

I have had so many dreams over the last few months and have been writing them down and trying to understand their meanings. Though some were personal insight for me and my life, others seemed more broad and appropriate to share.

This first dream that I have decided to share came to me on 9/20/12. Not only was this dream very heavy on my mind the next day but my husband made it very clear that he did not want to hear about any of my dreams. So I kept it to myself. It wasn't until two days later that he decided to tell me about a dream he had just had (he never remembers his dreams or likes to talk about them). He told me the dream and it was the same dream I had! I had the proof already written down since I had been logging my dreams. It blew our minds.

Here is my dream:

I had a dream that our home builder had come back to fix a bunch of things on the exterior part of our home in the backyard. Stones were falling off and it had been real shoddy work that they had to redo.

There was this tall tower of stone in the center on the border of our backyard. It was very old and had been there for years. There was no fence or home behind us. There were lots of guys riding around on construction vehicles working on things.

I kept wondering about the tower and why it was even there. Stones kept falling of it and it was very dangerous. I worried that it would one day tip over and the stones would come crashing through our backyard window and hurt us.

I noticed a small black pickup truck driving near the tower assessing it. I saw that Obama and his daughters were in the truck. He was concerned about the tower collapsing and was not happy about its condition. The tower was dangerous and ugly and I wanted it taken down, but I knew that he wanted to patch it up so it would remain standing. He was there to make sure it would not fall. I felt as though I didn’t have a say in the matter. It was a hopeless feeling. We had planted a tree in front of it to hide it and also so that when stones fell, the tree would stop them from getting to our house.

***end of dream***

My husband's dream showed the back our house and stones and stucco were falling off. There were crews of construction workers going around trying to patch everything up and fix it. It sounded exactly like the first half of my dream - then he woke up. He didn't see a tower or the president.

In reality we did not have anything going on with the exterior of our home as a reason for us to be dreaming about it. We had not mentioned it or construction of any matter. Very strange.

I have my own thoughts of what this dream could mean, but I would love to hear thoughts from my readers. I will be sharing more recent dreams that raise much concern in the next week. It's so amazing to me that I have received so many in the last couple of months. Our family has definitely had some interesting experiences.

My Daughter's Dream

Saturday morning the most unusual thing happened. Beginning at midnight the night before, my 1 year old woke up screaming. We figure she'd had a nightmare as there seemed to be nothing wrong. She has surprisingly never done this before. We calmed her down and got her back to sleep.

In the morning when I went to wake her up I walked into her room and heard her singing a song that she had made up. It was about Jesus. She was rocking back and forth singing "Jesus ______, Jesus _______" I couldn't understand the second word but she was very happy and smiling.

I said, "Are you singing about Jesus?" She said, "Mom..I see Jesus on wall." and she pointed at the ceiling. There are no pictures of Jesus in her room. I said "Did you have a dream about Jesus?" "Yes!" she exclaimed "I see him outside in the sky." and she pointed to the window and up at the sky. "What did he say?" I asked. "He watching us!" she said. Then she repeated it all over again in that order.

Later that morning I was changing her in her room and she said "Careful or monster will bite you." I said "I don't see any monsters." She pointed at the ceiling and said "Monsters by the temple." I am very intrigued now at what she saw on her ceiling this morning. Then I remembered the night before. Maybe she had seen something real or a vision of some sort and Jesus came to calm her.

I also considered that she witnessed the battle of good vs. evil in a vision on her ceiling or something of that nature. Whatever it was - it had a happy ending!!

I am reminded of this scripture

Acts 2:17

And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

It's amazing what the Lord can do. He speaks to those who listen and how he loves little children. There is nothing he can't do and the veil is so thin. I am also reminded of one of my favorite scriptures.

3 Nephi 26:16

16 Behold, it came to pass on the morrow that the multitude gathered themselves together, and they both saw and heard these children; yea, even babes did open their mouths and utter marvelous things; and the things which they did utter were forbidden that there should not any man write them.

With all that has been happening in our family with dreams and the veil being thin I feel the urgency to finally share the dreams that I had mentioned in previous posts. Clearly the Lord is reaching out to us. Stay tuned.

Must Listen to Audio

I was blessed to stumble across this link to an amazing audio piece that I highly recommend listening to. The hairs on my arm stood on edge throughout the entire audio and it brought happy tears to my eyes.

I traced the audio to the blog UnBlogMySoul by LDS author John M. Pontius. I was so excited to have found this blog. John is the author of several books and recently authored a book for a friend who had an amazing experience which is in the audio below. From what I have learned, his friend works at the Salt Lake temple and taught for almost 30 years at the University of Utah.

As I read through the blog, so happy to have found it, I was sad to learn in the most recent blog post that John has cancer and is very ill right now. He will be limiting his blog posts. His last blog post almost sounds like a fairwell. It's amazing to scroll through the archive and see how quickly this book came together for John and his friend. He talks about feeling an urgency to get this book published quickly, in fact a year sooner than all his other books. Then you learn in real time that his friend is ill (I believe with cancer) and John has cancer. It's amazing to see that John acted on his promptings to complete this book as now he would be too ill to do so. My prayers go out to he, his family and his friend.

The book "Visions of Glory" is available for pre-order here. I just can't wait to get a copy! I hope you enjoy this as much as I did.

Trumpets in the Night

Something amazing happened the other night but before I share I want to recap the weekend. This last weekend was general conference. It was so wonderful to hear the prophet and apostles speak. The speakers are not assigned topics, but instead pray for what they are to speak about. This is why I am always very excited when I hear a common theme throughout conference.

This time the common message was about committing ourselves to the savior and His gospel. Not just having a testimony but committing ourselves through our actions and serving others. The parable of the 10 virgins was spoken of and the New Testament scripture of Jesus asking Peter three times if he loves Him - this was spoken of throughout conference. We were also counseled by our loving prophet that during these times of negative things going on in the world around us that we look for the positive and be glad.

I feel that we are now at that point in time where it is the parable of the 10 virgins. Jesus will be here soon and if we are not prepared and our lamps filled with oil (our testimonies and commitment) we will miss out. If we are committed to Him and we really know Him, then we won't be caught off guard when he comes. We will be ready. Jesus asked Peter if he really loved Him, because if he really loved Jesus then he needed to "feed his sheep" - or share the gospel. That's what Peter did. He went on to share the gospel until the day of his death.

I see that final push to share the gospel with all nations of the earth. The first presidency just announced that the age requirement for missionary service has been lowered from age 19 to age 18 for boys and age 21 to age 19 for girls. This was very exciting news and of course means that there will be a flood of missionaries into the mission field over the next 12 months. It's that final stretch in that final inning and the saints are giving that final push with all of our might before the Lord comes. I really feel that He will be here soon especially with this large flood of missionary work like we have never seen before!

This is why the prophet tells us to be glad and focus on the positive. With all the negative happening in the world around us, it means that the time is at hand. We know that these things must come to pass prior to the return of the Savior. So why put all your energy into being upset or fearful? It will do you no good. Be happy that the Savior will be here soon and everything imaginably great and good will follow His return.

This leads me to tell you what happened the other night. It was Saturday night into Sunday morning about 2:00 am. I awoke to the sound of trumpets playing. It was so strange yet for some reason I wasn't startled or confused but happy and enjoying them. They were beautiful and sounding together as if in celebration. It was a very happy sound and the music very uplifting. I had never heard anything like it before. They sounded distant yet loud enough to wake me and I could hear them inside of me (if that makes any sense). I lay there in the dark just listening to them and smiling. I knew they were apart of something good. Finally my husband got up and turned the lamp on. He must have been hearing them to, or so I thought. He never gets up in the night. As I listened to him walk through the house I continued to enjoy the trumpets. The more I focused on them, the louder they got.

I then heard my husband turn on the heater. He came back to bed. "Do you hear those trumpets to?" I asked him

"What are you talking about" he replied.

Just then the heater kicked on. It was so loud that it drowned out the music and I could no longer hear it. I went back to sleep pondering on what had just happened.

Two days later, I decided to google it. I typed in "trumpets sounding in the night" and "I heard trumpets last night". Wow! I couldn't believe it. Other people have been hearing the same thing I have over the course of the last year. I couldn't help but wonder, could this be it? Is heaven sounding the trumpets for Christ's return? Maybe there has been a big celebration going on in the spirit world and the veil is quite thin. People on earth are hearing the celebration so that we might also know that the time is just about here. Are we prepared? If so, we can and should rejoice!

I began to think about in Revelation when John speaks about the seven trumpets. Could this be the first trumpet sounding? Maybe it has been sounding over the last year to prepare us for the first of many woes. If you are prepared you will recognize scripture coming to pass. These 7 woes or 7 trumpets are the final things that must happen before Christ returns. They are the opening of the seventh seal.

I'm telling you that I was completely taken by the Spirit when I likened what I heard unto the scriptures. I believe this 7th seal is about to open. It will be a terrible time for those who are not prepared and a wonderful time for those who are ready to meet the Lord.

As I bean thinking about all of this I wondered if there may have been any significance in hearing the trumpets on the early morning of October 7th 2012. In my search I found that October 7th was Hoshana Rabbah on the Jewish calendar. I learned that Hoshana Rabbah ""Great Hoshana/Supplication" is the 7th day of Sukkot which is the "Feast of Tabernacles". On the 2012 calendar Sukkot is celebrated 30 September –7 October. I then realized that the dates general conference is held on every year, (the first week of April and October) falls on/near passover and the Feast of the Trumpets, Yom Kippur and the Feast of the Tabernacle. These Jewish holidays directly pertain to the Second Coming. I'm not sure if there is anything significant about these Jewish holidays and general conference lining up but I do know that both the Jewish holidays as in the old testament and the dates for general conference were selected by the Lord.

Aside from the dates and their significance, I know what I heard on the early morning of October 7th. I know from scriptures and modern day revelation that we are living in the last days prior to Christ's return. I know what those days entail and I know that now is the time to be prepared. There is no delay for repentance because there is no time. If there is anything you need to take care of whether great or small, now is the time to do it. Repent and become clean so that you can meet the Lord when He comes.

I say this in the name of Jesus Christ - amen.
