I heard about this on the news this morning. The reporter said that this was planned just in time for April General Conference. Just to make sure I heard right, I did an online search and found this website, which is brand new.

This is a new group that just sprang up and they are seeking for women to be ordained to the priesthood. I've had a feeling over the last couple of months that this year we would be seeing and hearing about something like this just because of recent similar stories.
If you get a chance, read their FAQ page and I'd love to hear your thoughts. I personally am not seeking to have the priesthood nor would like to petition the leaders of the church for changes regarding any issues. I've always been happy and content with how things are and I trust that the Lord has set up His church the way He has for a reason, even if we don't understand.
I would love to hear your thoughts on this topic!

I just mentioned this to my husband after seeing it here. My initial reaction is to just shake my head in amazed disbelief. His first thoughts were of men, saying "We have a hard enough time getting men to be active and participate in church (he is serving in the Elder's quorum right now), trying to get them to avoid pornography and video games and other things that make the boys and men lost. They are motivated largely by duty. If we took away their priesthood duty so that women could do it to, there would hardly be anything for them to cling to about where they are needed." We explored that topic a little more with my 13 year old son who's been a deacon for just 1 year. He admitted too, that he would feel different about the priesthood if it was for women too. Men need a place where they are needed and can serve and be depend upon, just them.
Wow Tiffanie, that is a great perspective. You are right about that.I never thought about it that way before. Thanks for sharing!
